Mapu Maia Board
Maikali Kilioni
Born and raised in Fiji, Maikali Kilioni has worked in the addiction sector for over two decades and is a board member of the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners’ Association Aotearoa-New Zealand (DAPAANZ). A founding member of DRUA, the Pacific Addiction Network, Maik also works privately as an addiction and mental health practitioner. He was appointed a Wellbeing Adviser for the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Meleane Burgess
Samoa-born Meleane Burgess moved to New Zealand to complete her final year of high school, later attending the University of Waikato. She is the Managing Director of Dynamic Advisory Ltd, as well as an independent director on Crown Entity Boards.
Meleane is a member of the Ministry of Social Development Pacific Reference Group, continuing her advocacy for better outcomes for all Pacific peoples living in Aotearoa.

Lavea-Timo
Daisy Lavea-Timo has two decades’ experience teaching, mentoring and people-weaving across multiple spheres. A former English and drama teacher, Southern Regional Manager of the Ministry of Youth Development and Engagement Advisor for Regenerate Christchurch, Daisy is passionate about connecting talanoa across sectors, especially anything youth-related. In 2020 Daisy founded Cross-Polynate, aimed at improving outcomes for communities across the motu and Moana-Nui-A-Kiwa.

Anne Fitisemanu
Anne Fitisemanu is of Samoan descent and currently serves as the CEO of Make-A-Wish Foundation. A leader with a strong background in Pacific health, workforce development and youth development, she is known for fostering innovation, building diverse teams, and creating impactful partnerships.
